Job Description:
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Duration: 4-month contract to direct hire
Pay Rate: $45/Hr to $47/Hr
TSM Application Administrator - Senior Systems Analyst:
Implement, Manage, and Support a large & complex TSM backup environment.
The environment consists of 18 TSM Servers with about 3,000 B/A clients.
Interface with OS administration, Server Architecture, SAN, Application, and DBA Groups to engineer & support the TSM backup application on Distributed Systems.
*** Platform exposure to AIX, Solaris, HPUX, Windows, & Linux. Exposure to SAN's, Enterprise Disk, Tape, V-Tape, Data Encryption, Server Clustering, Virtual Servers, Databases, & Electronic vaulting of backup data.
Behavior Characteristics:
- Ability to work & function well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Analytical skills for trouble shooting backup failures, performance issues & capacity anomalies
Requirements:
- Korn Shell Scripting
- DB Backup utilities for Oracle, DB2 and SQL
- TSM Backup Application
- Tape, Disk, and SAN
- AIX and Windows 2000 & 2003
- Solaris, HPUX and Linux
