Tandem Sys Eng - Exp w/any of following: OSS, ITP Serv, WIP 7/24, Golden Gate, Websphere, S'guard,

 

This position is a 90 day contract to hire and the client is in need of a full-time person, so unless you have a strong desire to relocate to FL full-time this may not be a good career opportunity for you.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelor?s degree Preferred

At least 10 years IT experience with a minimum of 6 years direct responsibility for HP NonStop Server

configuration and design

HP Accredited Integration Specialist (AIS) and HP Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) certification is

desirable

Have experience with and the ability to offer support to most if not all of following applications:

Golden Gate

Attunity

WIP 7/24

IBM Websphere

OSS

ITP Webserver

Backup/storage solutions

Safeguard



Knowledge of:

?Experienced in mainframe design practices and principles as they apply to an HP NonStop environment.



?Fully proficient with HP NonStop Subsystem(s) technologies and related protocols.

?Knowledge of HP NonStop Server security best practices.

?Experienced in building and designing new HP NonStop environments.



Skill in:

?Fully competent in the configuration of HP NonStop Server Operating System and Subsystems.

?Fully competent in the configuration of HP NonStop Server hardware.

?Fully competent in the support and maintenance of HP NonStop Server Data Bases.

?Able to troubleshoot communication issues of all types, including the use of protocol analyzers.

?Experienced in IP address allocation and subnetting.



Ability to:

?Ability to direct initiatives on a large scale which span multiple technologies and require extended time

frames.

?Able to design and employ strategic HP NonStop Server planning at an enterprise level.

?Possess oral and written communication skills necessary to convey technical subject matter clearly

and concisely.

?Able to work independently, with little direct supervision.

?Able to evaluate new applications and/or protocols.
