This role has strategic & tactical responsibility for developing & enhancing technical architecture of a data integration solution utilizing IBM's Information Integration Solutions products (Datastage Srvr/EE/TX, Profilestage, Qualitystage). Skills include experience in: using major database & data modeling software, knowledge of ETL and Data Quality software and its value to an organization; source system analysis and profiling; in automotive manufacturing & logistics industry. Additional skills in production system automation software, meta data management software, business intelligence software, & integration with ERP and CRM environments preferred. Responsibilities include selecting & configuring software layers into a compatible, workable architecture on which all other data integration functions work. Requirements include: Manage Client Relationships; Apply Client Strategy & Planning; Apply IT Standards in Creation of Solutions; Lead Individuals & Teams; Develop Solutions Architecture; Use Consulting Techniques; Lead in Setting Technical Direction; Manage Architectural Elements of Project Plan; Perform Technical Solution Assessment; Lead Strategy/Design/Implementation of Solution; Develop Client Requirements & Architectural Decisions. In weaving the architecture, the TSA must completely analyze the long- and short-term business problem. Once a complete understanding of the problem is achieved, it is up to the Architect to take a "holistic" view of potential solutions and pull together the right mix of tools and techniques to solve it. This also includes complete end-to-end project estimation, project planning and design specification development. A Top-Secret clearance is required.
