Expert or technical non-exempt role. Serves as a subject matter expert in service, production, or support area of responsibility. May serve in a lead capacity. Provides support to customers and Field Service staff in resolving moderate to complex technical problems. Coordinates problem-solving efforts between customers and field service personnel, software support, investigation and analysis of product problems related to assigned products.

Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Solving problems may involve collaboration with the vendor. Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. Prepares reports for analysis of service failure trends and service ability issues.

This position will provide vendor management of IP telephony services. The incumbent is responsible for customer ticket resolution, vendor escalations, Tier 2 level troubleshooting of equipment and event management. This is a 24X7X365 support group requiring schedule flexibility. Schedules can include shift work, holidays and weekends. The incumbent must participate as a team member and in a leadership role as necessary.

Experience with VoIP, switching and routers is a plus. The job requires strong oral and written communications skills. General PC knowledge and excellent keyboarding skills are required. Knowledge of the TRS ticketing system is a plus. Job requires a level of knowledge typically gained through a combination of a college degree and/or relevant experience totaling 5 years post high school. The ability to multitask and perform effectively in a high paced environment is a must.
