The BI Technical Analyst will apply his/her knowledge of marketing and marketing systems, along with their data modeling and database analysis skills, to design, enhance, and maintain an enterprise data warehouse. This person will be a key contributor in developing technical specifications from business requirements. The candidate will play a key role in the data extraction, load and transformation (ETL) processes and will also develop and/or assist in the creation of an innovative data mart solution.

 

Responsibilities

? Using business specifications from marketing organization document, design the logical and physical data models.

? Partner with various BI teams to develop technical specifications for the enterprise data warehouse.

? Research and map data source elements to the BI data models.

? Ensure appropriate documentation is developed and maintained and that the enterprise data dictionary (metadata) repository is created and maintained.

Qualifications

? 5 years of current experience performing data modeling and analysis in a data warehousing environment.

? Strong understanding and working experience of relational databases (i.e. Teradata and/or Oracle), data warehousing and decision support tools such as OLAP, Metadata Management, and Reporting.

? Must have hand-on knowledge and experience using SQL in a large Teradata and/or Oracle environment.

? Strong technical design skills

? Understanding or experience in marketing and marketing systems.

? Experience with ETL tools is a plus.

? Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and organization skills.

? Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

 

Education Requirements:

? B.S. Computer Science or business with a concentration in Information Technology

? MBA in marketing would be a plus
