Technical Analyst - Performance

Job Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Performance Group produces, calculates, and verifies performance returns and statistical information. The team performs these functions for a variety of products including the retail mutual funds, separate accounts, composites, and the college savings plans. The role of the Technical Analyst within the Performance department is to provide high level technical expertise for certain performance and statistical functions that result in the accurate production of performance information. As a part of this role, the Technical Analyst is responsible for certain systems applications and may support or oversee various automation projects.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Utilizes technology to improve current processes and meet changing data needs as defined by regulatory changes and customer needs. Identifies, recommends and develops significant, measurable process and technology improvements to generate efficiencies, reduce operational risk, and increase levels of service through faster delivery and higher accuracy.

2. Assists with the design, development and testing of performance systems. Identifies alternative considerations for new systems or enhancing current systems. Develops appropriate test plans/schedule.

3. Is responsive to, and meets or exceeds expectations and requirements of, internal and external customers. Utilizes every encounter to positively reinforce the department's role as the performance production experts within the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated proficiency in specialized software applications and technology

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment, lead teams, and build strong relationships

Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements

Self-starter

Grasps complexities and perceives relationships among issues and be able to instruct others on the complexities and relationships

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly including strong presentation and negotiation skills

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, or IT preferred

3 or more years demonstrated technical knowledge preferred

Knowledge of database design terminology and SQL preferred

Prior experience in systems development and project implementation preferred
* College degree and one year of related work experience, or a minimum of 5 years related work experience required
