Technical Architect - B2B COE

Serve as a technical architect for the Global IT Business-to-Business Center of Excellence (B2B COE) team whose charter is to provide world class integration and consultative services to all of Schering-Plough in the area of secure data delivery and information collaboration between Schering-Plough and its business partners.



Responsibilities:




Provide technical guidance in the development, selection, implementation and support of B2B infrastructure to ensure successful integration of technical solutions.
Serve as a technology integrator in linking business processes and procedures with B2B technologies.
Work collaboratively with Business partners and other GIT groups on developing sound, measurable and supportable business-aligned technical solutions.
Keep abreast of new technology alternatives and making recommendation to management regarding the applicability of alternative approaches to the business environment.
Promote technical standards, best practices, and solutions that are in alignment with GIT strategies and guidelines.
Assist business partners with business justification and cost analysis of B2B solutions by preparing Statement of Work (SOW).
Continuous streamlining and improvement of business processes and system performance to enhance business value (VEI).
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior level staff.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree - Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
7+ years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry,
Strong working knowledge of B2B and eCommerce technologies such as Web Portal, VPN, Secure File Transfer and Secure Document Exchange
Good knowledge of middleware framework, database and application integration
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience in all stages of system development life cycle with an emphasis on validated systems
Can communicate clearly and effectively to Sr. management on project alternatives and solutions.
Have the leadership skills to assemble cross functional teams to successfully deliver projects with aggressive timeline and cost constraints.
Is experienced in navigating large corporate environment to achieve successful project implementation.
Has the project management experience in developing full project plans, managing resources and costs to deliver projects within estimated timeline and under budget.
