Technical Architect/Developer

The Technical Architect/Developer is primarily responsible for the design and architecture of the Business Objects (BO) technical environment. The Architect/Developer will serve as the technical expert for the BO infrastructure stack, working with other Information Technology groups to create, maintain, and support an efficient, scalable and optimal BO reporting environment. This includes understanding and maintaining the BO security model, troubleshooting performance and other issues as they arise and recommending carious strategies and solutions to ensure that the environment remains optimal.

 

Additionally, the Business Objects Architect/Developer will participate in the design and development of BO reports and universes, working closely with business users to define their reporting requirements. WebIntelliegence, OLAP Intelligence, Crystal Reports and other tools in Business Objects suite will be employed as appropriate.

 

This person will be responsible for helping to maintain the Crystal 9 environment and will oversee the shutdown of this environment once all reports are converted to BO XI.

 

Experience:

 
3-5 years experience in analyzing, designing, developing, planning, recommending, and implementing enterprise systems and solutions.
Strong experience with enterprise level Business Objects deployments, upgrades and conversions; BO XI experience is a plus
Must be experienced with troubleshooting Business Objects issues
Java Experience
ASP experience
VB/VBA experience
Tomcat experience is a plus
Strong hands-on development experience with Business Objects universes and reports in an enterprise environment, preferably with BO XI utilizing Crystal Reports, WebIntelligence, OLAP Intelligence, Dashboard Manager, Performance Manager, and business views
Strong SQL skills
Knowledge of data warehousing architectures
