Technical Consultant I - Lawson

QUALIFICATIONS
*Ten years experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, installing and maintaining complex software programs
*Demonstrated ability in instructing, guiding and overseeing the work of team members.
*Typically at least 5 years experience of project management, quality management & development methodologies.
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Excellent planning and organizational skills
*Considerable business knowledge, preferably in the retail industry
*Enough practical experience to train others in decision making, risk assessment, job knowledge, analysis, and project management
*Experienced with people development, interviewing, and directing others
*Technical expertise in data analysis, data design, system design, enterprise application integration, software testing, documentationJOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs key technical role in maintenance and enhancement of Lawson ERP system and environment as well as other Corporate Systems applications. Focuses on design of application interfaces, modifications, integration and reporting. Tracks and applies Lawson application and environment patches. Demonstrates strong understanding of key business drivers, including substantive experience with Lawson environment 8.03, Oracle 9x, Unix and Java. Ensures technical solutions deliver business value in line with company objectives. Presents proven record of technical expertise and ability to work in team environment, including both internal and external resources. Can lead technical components of large project based on overall plan with minimum direction. Provides the thought leadership within IT to mentor staff and leverage industry best practices.
