Technical Courseware Developer

We are looking for a Technical Courseware Developer to create technical courseware for customers, partners and employees. The appropriate candidates will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the courseware, so technical competency is required.  The courseware may be designed for a number of delivery mechanisms (instructor-led, online instructor-led, self-paced). The audience may include end users, system administrators, developers and/or project managers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Successfully project manage courseware development projects to meet target deadlines

Develop a course scope, target delivery dates and interim milestone dates

Develop course content, including lab exercises

Ensure that courses meet the Educaitonal Services Style Guide and quality standards

Monitors the quality of released courseware and resolves issues as appropriate based on customer and instructor feedback

Attends project meetings as representative from Educational Services

Researches and resolves technical issues with instructors, engineering and courseware developers

Acts as instructor for dry runs, special events and occasionally for customer courses

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Experience developing courseware in deadline-driven environment

Experience with enterprise sfotware, including application development experience (Java, JSP, C#, Visual Basic, Web Services) and/or system administration experience (SQL, LDAP, J2EE application server administration)

Strong instructional design skills

Strong organizational skills, project management skills, multitasking and project flexibility required

Desired: Multimedia development skills and knowledge of learning standards and protocols, including SCORM and AICC
