Location: Chicago, IL

Type: 6+ months contract opportunity

Core Role and Responsibilities:

- Develop high level approach from business requirements

- Prepare comprehensive technical design document

- Provide accurate ETCs and status to the Project Manager

- Coordinate with offshore Technical Lead

- Complete sign-off of all offshore deliverables

- Conduct code and unit test plan reviews

- Provide guidance throughout the development and testing

- Prepare integration and user acceptance test plans

- Coordinate testing and migration

- Document defects and coordinate fixes with offshore Technical Lead

- Coordinate all test environment data preparation and planning

- Follow SDLC standards and guidelines

- Ensure development standards and guidelines are being followed

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of the following technologies: UNIX (Command Line and Shell Scripting), DB2 (Stored Procs and Native Load Utilities)*, SQL, Informatica (Powercenter)

- Data Warehousing

- Data Marting

- Test Planning and Execution

- Experience with creating technical design documents/technical specifications including flows and architecture diagrams

- Experience with end-to-end project SDLC

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Data Modeling/Data Architecture: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema

Preferred Experience:

- Knowledge of the following technologies: C/C++, MicroStrategy

- ERwin

- Create Source System Analysis (SSA): Design target data model, Complete source to target mappings along with transformation rules, Generate all required DDL

- Database Administration

- Previous large-scale project experience

- Previous offshore development experience
