Technical Sales Rep

WorldWide Technical Sales Rep to join Worldwide WebSphere Technical Sales Team. Can be based anywhere in USA but must travel up to 50%. The role has 3 specific areas of focus: Work with field sales and technical sales to support opportunity identification. Develop collateral for the field techincal sales organization on the capabilities of the Datapower solution and positioning with the rest of WebSphere. Provide technical feedback to lab development The highly technical nature of SOA/Web Services makes the Technical Sales role pivotal to our success. Deliver effective presentations to clients and provide extensive information on product capabilities. This includes building and presenting on-site demos in a highly competitive sales environment. Major Field of Study: Technology and Business. Prior pre/post-sales experience with related products (i.e., security, middlewre, WS); Strong Technical Capality in transformation, xml transformation; Strong technical understanding of Web Services (XML, WSDL, SOAP, WS-*); Present complex technical information to clients in competitive sales environment; Experience with identity mgmt such as Tivoli Access Manager, Oracle/Oblix, or RSA. Flexibility to changing client requirements and a strong startup mentality. BS in Computer Science or related field required. 4+ years exp focused on pre or post-sales for security, middleware, or web services type products. Strong sales ability and exp presenting complex technical information to clients. Background in programming and strong technical understanding of Web Services (XML, WSDL, SOAP, WS-*, etc). Knowledge of middleware integration (e.g. message queuing/brokering) and distributed systems). Software Group provides the foundation for On Demand Business.
