You probably already know us, even though you may not recognize the name.  We are leaders in venue management software.  Whether you?re a sports fan or an arts aficionado, at some time you have probably bought a ticket through our technology, and there?s a good chance that your alma mater sells their athletic or event center tickets on our system.  For more than 24 years, Paciolan has partnered with clients across five primary markets including college athletics, performing arts, arenas, professional sports, and museums. Collectively, Paciolan clients sell over 100 million tickets annually representing approximately 25% of all live event tickets sold in the U.S.

 

We are currently looking for a Technical Services Engineer for our Irvine, CA, headquarters.  Our Technical Services Engineers provide Systems Administration, application troubleshooting and 'third level' support for Paciolan's eVenue network, server and applications infrastructure.  Essential qualities for this role involve instilling a sense of urgency and sound judgment in both resolving challenging technical issues and ensuring top-notch service to our clients' use of Paciolan software.

 

Duties:

Provide expert 'third level' support to internal Client Partners, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Support and Technical Services, providing technical direction,,. prompt escalation and hands-on monitoring and analysis of the Paciolan software environment.

Work directly with customers' technical staff as a critical escalation point on Paciolan's hosting, server and network environment.

Take ownership of and expedite resolution of complex systems, network and operating environment issues and provide technical guidance to department regarding operating environment issues.

Integrate and deliver solution components for client Web sites and remote network environments, including remote configuration, testing and monitoring tools, and testing of eVenue customer purchased hardware, operating and application software.

Develop documentation (procedural, configuration management and troubleshooting) for Technical Service and Customer Support use, as required.  Develop documentation on new projects and/or procedures.   Technical project management experience a plus.

Rotating with staff, provide periodic 'on call' support responsibilities as required.

Directly support on-sale activity including the set-up of servers and performance monitoring.

This position will require a work schedule from Wednesday to Sunday.

 

Qualifications:

Unix/Windows system administration skills

Hands-on experience on Web server/application server administration (Apache preferred/Deploying applications)

Weblogic or Websphere or NetCommerce skills

Application support experience

Basic DB2 skills

Customer Service orientation; experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
