Technical Support Analyst
Our Client is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions. The company employs over 20,000 people in 33 different countries around the world. The North American headquarters, located in the Westchase Business District in Houston, TX, is currently seeking experienced Technical Support Analysts.
BASIC FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides first line response to users? Incident Reports and Service Requests through Service DeskAlternately provides deskside support of users? Incident Reports and Service Requests Responsible for meeting current ?first call? solution requirements (currently <30% of all calls) Provides maintenance and operation services for the PC and LAN infrastructure.Provides installation and, where appropriate, repair of PC hardware and peripherals.Provides software installation and troubleshooting services.Maintains and complete appropriate records for service work.Complies with proper maintenance and repair procedures.Assists users with all computer related problems.Provides PC Coordinator functions in lieu of his/her absence.Accepts and performs special project assignments as deemed necessary by IT management.Maintains a sufficient level of familiarity with, and provide general support for all strategic Information Technology systems.Knowledge of and adherence to Company and departmental policies and procedures.Maintains ethical and professional behavior in dealing with users, department associates, and other departments' personnel.
EDUCATION:Preferred but not required, Associates Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent technical experience).Knowledge of and formal training in ITIL Procedures welcomed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:2 to 10 years of computer service experience, with two to three working with PC systems.Prefer background in engineering company.
