Technical Support I - USDA

SUMMARY

Provides support to end users on a variety of IT related issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors each problem to insure a timely resolution. Relies on job knowledge, instruction, and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

?  Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support

?  Tracks and monitors each problem to insure a timely resolution

?  Adhere to security policies

?  Adhere to all Datatrac policies and procedures

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School degree or GED; or one-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two-year degree in technical field (preferred), or equivalent experience.  Must be proficient with MS Office applications.  PC hardware knowledge is a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organization, and time management skills.  Must be detail oriented, have a positive and professional demeanor, have the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and take initiative. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Days/hours:  Monday-Friday/8am-5pm but may need to be flexible.
