Technical Support Specialist

Alpheon Corporation is growing again.  We have an immediate need for Technical Support Specialists to service our clients in the greater Research Triangle Park area.  This position requires local travel to client offices to perform onsite technical support and assistance on an operational basis.  The following experience would be a great asset to the successful candidate:Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification or equivalent Four year college degree Three or more years of on the job experience in an Information Technology capability Strong understanding of networks; Local, Wide Area, VPN, Wireless Strong knowledge of Microsoft productivity software (Office, Visio, PowerPoint) Strong desktop and user support experience in a medium to large company (100 or more end-users) Knowledge in security practices, UNIX, Mac and VoIP are a plus

Technical Certifications and Training:Platform Network Operating System Software certification (MCSE preferred) Extensive experience on the Windows platform (Server and Professional) Network Operation System configuration experience Server Hardware expertise

 

The following are essential requirements for the position:3 years experience in an Information Technology position On site support experience Server administration duties (account management, patch installation, etc.) Server hardware troubleshooting and repair Network infrastructure implementation Anti-virus remediation and eradication PC image builds and documentation Local travel is required Requires a valid driver?s license and a vehicle in good working order Ability to lift objects in excess of 30 pounds Position requires continuous self study to keep up with constantly changing technology On site customer training may be required Recurring reporting requirements may include but are not limited to: Time Reporting Status Reports Task Completion Documentation
