We are looking to fill an Applications Consultant position within Humana's applications development group supporting Humana's rating, quoting, enrollment and underwriting processes.

This position requires broad IT solution development and maintenance experience coupled with strong design and communications skills. The individual in this position will be responsible for enhancing and supporting various internet and server based applications. Experience demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of programming and design principles, methodologies, tools and techniques is required. Additionally, the individual will be accountable for understanding and supporting the business needs of the organization.

Qualified candidates will have strong knowledge of:

- ASP.NET and ASP
- ADO.NET
- C# for ASP.NET
- Visual Basic 6.0
- Visual Interdev 6.0
- OO experience is a plus
- Web Services experience is a plus
- XML, XSD experience
- Web, Application and SQL DB development/support (SQL Server and DB2 experience are a plus)
- Excel / VB Script.
