Technology Coordinator

Jefferson Local Schools is seeking a candidate for the position of District Technology Coordinator.  We are a thriving local district seeking a Network Administrator that also has some educational background.

 

The District Technology Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the local-area and wide-area networks, along with application operability.  Our current networks contain the central office, a middle school, high school, and elementary school, as well as remote home-users using Citrix.

 

Duties and/or responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

?  Windows Operating Systems management, including backups, file system maintenance, patch management, installation, and troubleshooting.

?  All aspects of Windows network administration, including user and group creation, file system management, sharing and security, group policies, etc.

?  Exchange Server 2003 maintenance including mailbox management, distribution groups, and database maintenance.

?  Application installation, management, support and troubleshooting for standard office productivity software, custom software, and 3rd party software application.

?  Experience with Desktop Authority, Sophos Antivirus, and WebMarshal.  Commvault backup would also be desirable.

?  Daily support of network protocols, communications, and services.

?  The ability to perform basic phone and voice mail system administration and maintenance.

?  Documentation of network infrastructure and applications.

?  Support for peripheral devices such as printers, etc.

?  Management of supply usage.

 

 

This opportunity includes twenty vacation days per year, full benefit package, and is a contract position.

 

Review of Qualifications:

 

?  5+ years of System Administration

?  Microsoft Certification Preferred - MCSA or MCSE 2000 or higher

?  Knowledge of Progress Book

?  Knowledge of ERATE

?  Knowledge of CommVault backup software

?  Previous experience working with a larger organization, i.e. 1500+ users

?  Ability to work with teachers and administrators to encourage the use of technology in the school district
