Technology Manager 5 - Qa Automation Manager

Job Description: Manages a large, high level technical area or a large-scale new development with direct impact to organization-wide objectives. Establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to direct report managers. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have a company wide impact. Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. Manages through direct report managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods and employees. May also manage high-level exempt staff. (In some instances manager may be responsible for managing staff function and may not have direct report managers). Ensures budget meets operational requirements.


Minimum Qualifications: oLarge group management and leadership experience
oProven successful in working within a large matrixed organization
oSoftware development or quality control management background.
o Strong understanding and working knowledge of test tools in the Mercury Suite
oStrong conceptualization skills
oStrong communications Skills
oTechnician architecture experience
oCapacity to develop a clear understanding of the development teams needs and incorporate these needs in to technical solutions
oFamiliarity in application design and development


Preferred Skills: oProven development of strong technical and management talent pool
oTrack record of developing business strong partnerships across technology and business teams
oStrong meeting and project facilitation skills
oExperience in transitioning work functions in and out of scoped areas
oTheory and application of quality control methodologies, tools and strategies including industry standard automation tools, environment design and administration.
oBachelor s degree or equivalent experience
