Technology Operations Analyst

 

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, one of the nation's largest law firms, has an opening for a professional to assist with supporting the Firm's computer technologies.  This position functions as part of the Technology Operations team and is responsible for implementing and supporting the core technologies of the Firm.  Responsibilities include:

 

?  Indepenedent management of various IT related projects and initiatives, including creation and maintenance of project management plans and directing and leading others to accomplish various objectives

?  Level 2 and 3 problem escalation and resolution

?  Blackberry Mobile Information Services support and troubleshooting

?  Support and troubleshooting for above listed and various other Enterprise Technologies, involving determination and implementation of appropriate solutions to various problems that arise

?  Development and maintenance of required documentation for environment

?  Cooperation with other Operations team members, IS staff, in accomplishing operational tasks and projects including problem diagnosis and resolution

?  Communication of status of initiatives to Department Managers

?  Knowledge transfer and / or internal training for the network support staff to develop the necessary internal skills for supporting new and existing technology within the firm's network environment

?  Maintain a basic working knowledge of all technology utilized within the firm

?  Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by network users

Required qualifications:

?  Must be willing to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating on-call duties.

?  Strong understanding of MS Operating Systems (Server and Desktop)

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with senior management; demonstrated ability to communicate solutions and educate

?  Strong analytical and problem solving skills

?  Ability to perform at a high level of effectiveness in a fast pace environment, managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

?  Ability to travel to remote locations when needed

?  Excellent interpersonal skills

?  Expert level experience Desktop OS

?  Solid understanding of network fundamentals

?  5 years of Level 2 or higher support experience in a 1000 or more user environment.

?  Industry Certifications preferred

?  Strong customer service skills; ability to work well with end users

?  Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and document solutions and education material

?  Positive attitude

? Ability to work independently and direct the work of others to accomplish tasks.

?Ability to regularly investigate and solve non-routine problems.
