Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation
Proficient in use of TSO
Working knowledge of OS JCL
CA7 product knowledge
Remedy software knowledge or other problem reporting system.
Good typing skills
Good oral and written communication skills.
Mainframe System experience

This position monitors 5 mainframe environments, handling all mainframe trouble-shooting, performing mainframe system IPLs, interfacing with support, escalations, etc. Monitors production environments, including CA7 automated scheduler for production processing for 2 separate environments. Trouble shoot processing problems, including abend restarts (using CA11 restart facility), jcl overrides, pre-processing, adhoc submission, temporary CA7 database changes, and problem reporting and escalations.
