Test Range Support

L-3 Communications Titan Group, Intelligence Solutions Division has an opening for a Test Range Support in San Antonio Texas.

Provide assistance in the establishment and on-going administration and maintenance of computer networks, platforms, and software tools supporting the 346th Test ranges. Provide technical support to test range development and maintenance. Research and recommend range equipment purchases and assist with required purchase orders. Install, configure, test, and maintain LAN hardware and software components including cabling. Maintain DNS servers. Maintain mail relay host. Maintain web servers. Maintain router configurations. Maintain modem dial-in configurations. Maintain other network security devices. Implement and enforce security measures. Establish and maintain firewalls. Install vendor security patches, implement AFCERT and CERT advisories, and assist in implementing other security recommendations when appropriate.


Troubleshoot system/network problems. Provide user assistance. General training facility maintenance duties (reconfiguration/relocation of computers and cabling etc). Maintain and operate traffic generators. Document range configuration practices and procedures. Control the use of IP addresses. Coordinate equipment/system usage. Add/delete users accounts. Backup/restore application and operating systems software. Participate in Test Planning Working Groups. Coordinate test criteria, write data management plans, and analyze test data. Participate in establishment and implementation of test schedules, training programs, test techniques and test resource allocation and utilization.


Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)


Must have current TOP SECRET Clearance AND must meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background and skills set with MS operating systems.


This position requires a working knowledge of scripting languages; Shell, Perl, or Visual Basic.


Additionally Solaris and or Linux experience will be a plus.


Additional desired skills include:


Knowledgeable with MS Exchange


Familiar with databases: Oracle.


Working knowledge of SQL statements.


Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
