Summary of Key Responsibilities

? Facilitate communication and application development and support activities in Risk Controls, Help Desk, Desktop Support and other infrastructure support areas.

? Candidate must be able to insure the efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness of programming, by writing code which meets design specifications, and quality standards.  Candidate will represent QA throughout the entire SDLC process of each project by participating in the full software development lifecycle from requirements through production.  Candidate will establish and maintain Enterprise-level QA standards.

? This position requires a working knowledge with the latest versions of Mercury?s Tool QTP, BPT, Quality Center and LoadRunner. 

? Ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge and/or skills: Transact SQL for Microsoft SQL Server, .Net, C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, Active Directory, WMI, DCOM, FileNet (P8), related IIS server configurations, advanced Web application design and development (Knowledgeable of CobiT, ITIL and CMMI frameworks a plus)

? Use independent judgment and initiative to identify and resolve complex project issues associated with cross-functional or multi-team efforts.

 

Support existing business systems applications and partner with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.  Perform software development, implementation, and maintenance activities for all business applications. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.




Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:Independently develop task plans and resource estimates for software analysis, design and implementation activities as required. Perform full software life-cycle development activities using independent judgment and creativity to accomplish critical tasks. Identify, evaluate and resolve the most complex technical programming, configuration and performance problems with applications. Analyze complex business requirements and propose appropriate technology solutions. Create and maintain documentation for full life-cycle development and implementation of software including requirements, analysis, design, and testing. Follow established policies and procedures; determine and recommend potential enhancements.

 

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree. 6 months experience of test automation using Mercury QTP scripting in either test case driven or data driven approach. Experience testing J2EE applications or Oracle Financials applications. Minimum five to seven years work experience in Information Technology development and maintenance. Three to four years industry experience preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with Load Testing and Capacity Planning exercises using Mercury Load Runner. Familiarity with software testing concepts in a highly evolved SDLC environment. Able to perform more complex development work requiring application of standard software engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related development tasks. Able to generate software design from analysis of requirements specifications. Able to generate software code that meets requirements and conforms to design. Able to read and understand source code written by others. Able to use prescribed mathematical formulae and/or models to calculate measures of performance. Able to test software code for correct functioning in accordance with requirements and design. Knowledge of one or more development language(s). Knowledge and understanding of software development methodologies. Knowledge of object oriented programming methodologies. Able to develop and document processes and procedures. Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and requests for service and assistance. Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers, vendors and employees. Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests.
