Testing Senior Specialist

The Informatics Application Solution group is seeking a Testing Senior Specialist to drive Quality Assurance for our Financial Reporting within the Informatics ASG. The Testing Senior Specialist will be working with a team of high-performance, high-caliber individuals, focused and motivated to achieve the organization's goals..

Qualifications:
* On site in Bloomfield, CT only.
* General knowledge of Healthcare Cash and Accrual Accounting
* General knowledge of Healthcare Claim Expense and Cash flow processing for financial validation
* General knowledge of Healthcare Revenue processing for financial validation
* Detailed knowledge of different types of testing (functional, integration and release)
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the interdependencies between system functionality and associated business processes in order to develop effective Quality Assurance deliverables (plans, strategies, scripts, etc)
* Engages in proactive & effective issue/risk management. Issues/risks are clearly documented & escalated appropriately. Issues/risks are tracked & managed until closure or corrective action has taken place. Risk mitigation plans are created & effectively utilized.
* Testing knowledge that integrates theoretical test methods balanced with real world practical experience.
* Sound understanding of approaches to testing (Black vs. White box testing; POS vs. NEG testing, etc.)
* Further understanding of test cycle outcomes and their relevance to follow-on testing cycles and ability to leverage prior test outcomes for defect management, risk mitigation, requirement verification and validation, and metrics generation and reporting.
* Intuitive test mentality, providing innate ability to apply theoretical test methods into real world scenarios leading to test scenario definition and test case development (for defined and undefined outcomes).
* Active role within a quality organization utilizing quality management techniques (such as ISO, CMM, or TQM).
* Strong Healthcare experience, specifically related to Warehouse, Customer Reporting and Financial Applications
* Ability to define scenarios utilizing multiple test approaches
* Create reusable test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts both manually to include average ability to use and incorporate automation tools (WinRunner, QA Test, Silk Test, etc.)
* Sound manual testing skills and techniques for artifact creation and manipulation.
* Working knowledge of automation techniques and use of applicable testing tools across the testing lifecycle. (Working knowledge of requirements generation, tracking, and manipulation tool(s), defect tracking tool(s), configuration management and versioning tool(s), and reporting tool(s).
* Mainframe knowledge should include as a minimum JCL, TSO/ISPF
* Understanding of DB2, SQL, Oracle, etc database applications.
* Ability to generate and manipulate test data utilizing database skills associated with those environments set up for each phase of testing.
