Top-Notch Web Developer/Content Editor, HMTL & CSS

  A premier client of ours in the peninsula is looking for a top-notch Web Technologist/Developer to reconstruct the sub-levels of their Environment, Safety & Health (ES&H) website to integrate the new look and feel into the rest of the ES&H site.  This will convert existing pages to the new design, leverage more logical information architecture (which will enhance search capabilities), and develop new pages for areas currently not represented on the ES&H website.

 

Scope

? Reconstruct the sub-levels of the ES&H website to integrate new design.

? Reorganize the information on sub-levels into a more logical structure.  This will support consistent and easy navigation, and leverage the new design.

? Work with the program owners where formal review and approval is necessary.

 

 

Requirements

? Work with the ES&H website coordinator on updating sub-level web pages per customer and stakeholder needs.

? Re-chunk the information on the sub-levels to improve readability and comprehension of content.

? Comply with site access requirements including 508-regulations.

? Onsite work will be required.

? (Note that this is NOT a visual designer position.)

 

Individual Requirements

? Be proficient with content development and technical writing/editing.

? 3+ years of experience in Web Design or Technical Writing for the Web.

? HTML and CSS skills (FrontPage experience preferred).

Flexibility within the project to apply different solutions to different problems.  Must have a good grasp of the overall approach and a critical eye for detail. Must be flexible with balancing content requirements with deadlines.
