UI Designer

This person will be responsible for but not limited to working closely with product management and development to design and prototype product feature sets. Ensure all product designs meet usability objectives and user requirements. Plan and perform usability activities. Educate development and product management in UCD principles. Generalize design techniques to contribute to corporate UI standards and consistency with other products. Ensure product meets accessibility standards, 508 compliance.

The candidate must have a portfolio showing 3 years or more of experience in UI design. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills. Excellent understanding of user experience design for the Web, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work. Well versed in HTML and Cross Browser considerations. Excellent conceptualization skills. Ability to intuitively and efficiently translate client needs into mockups. User Centered Design (UCD) experience. Proven technical experience through online examples or portfolio with: HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver or Homesite, Photoshop, Illustrator. A BA/BS/BFA required. The preferred candidate would understand 508 accessibility standards, Localization and Globalization, DHTML, Javascript.
