USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
Our firm has been retained to assist this national client to locate a User Experience Designer. The following is a description of what they looking for:
? software UI design
? 1-2 years designing large scale websites and web-based applications
? Expert in user-centered design (UCD, HCI, UX) methodologies & artifacts
? Skill set: IA, page design, usability evaluations, contextual inquiry, peer reviews
? Toolset: Windows XP, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop
Skills that are a plus
? Insurance industry experience
? Deliver in-house whitepapers and seminars on UX topics
? CSS-2, (X)HTML, and ability to work with dirty (screen-scraped) HTML
? Proficient using Topstyle Pro, Macromedia, Techsmith Morae, & iRise
? Degree in related field such as human factors, visual design or MIS
Portfolio/ work examples
? Usability / field study materials: test plan document, moderators guide document, report findings document, expert or heuristic review document
? Wireframe or screen mock-ups communicating new or improved designs
? Interaction diagrams, information architecture diagrams or screen flow diagrams (i.e. - boxes-and-arrows)
? Also, we would love any examples of page comps showing attention to visual details on a complex page type. This is to show that you have "an eye for design" and can align elements on a page to create a pleasing appearance (Final color and branding treatments are a plus but not expected)

Education
Bachelors Degree
Job Responsibilities
? Create style guides for websites and web-based applications
? Lead screen design sessions for business (non-technical) stakeholders
? Create clickable prototypes for usability tests (generally using PowerPoint)
? Conduct contextual inquiry, usability testing and present recommendations
? Create new elements, UI patterns and screen designs for engineers
? Perform UX heuristic reviews, quality assurance against coded solutions
Candidate should have
? Portfolio and excellent attitude
? Experience with storyboarding, whiteboard ideas in collaborative team sessions
5 years in: interactive media, web design, graphic design
