American Home Mortgage (NYSE:AHM), a nationally licensed mortgage banker and America?s Top 12 Mortgage Lender, has the following career opportunities in our Melville Long Island headquarters.

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills and previous processing, underwriting, or closing experience to join the Unifi Help Desk at American Home Mortgage. You will be working in a fast paced, high energy environment where Application Specialists are needed to support the Unifi software for American Home Mortgage employees.

Hours of operation are:

Monday ? Friday (8 am - 9 pm)
Saturday (10 am ? 3 pm)

Shifts Vary

You will be responsible for:

? Assisting American Home Mortgage employees with the processing, underwriting, closing, and post closing issues within the Unifi application software
? Receiving inbound and making outbound calls to assist in the training of new employees, as well as to support and troubleshoot issues in the Unifi database
? Escalating critical issues to Team Leads, Supervisors, and Business Analysts for review
? Working alongside other help desks at American Home Mortgage to assist with difficult user problems
? Troubleshooting issues regarding Fannie Mae?s ?Desktop Underwriter? system as well as Freddie Mac?s ?Loan Prospector? software

 REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, skills and abilities include:

? Knowledge of Origination, Processing, U/W, & Closing procedures; previous experience in one of these fields is a plus, including Fannie Mae?s Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac?s Loan Prospector
? Excellent communications and computer skills; must be able to type at least 30-40 wpm and be able to communicate in a professional manner over the phone and via e-mail.
? Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
? Ability to prioritize and accomplish various tasks at any given time

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

? Knowledge of the UNIFI mortgage software application
? Attention to detail and promptness; timeliness is necessary
? Able to work independently as well as being team oriented
? Professional Phone Mannerism
? Previous experience working in a Call Center
