User Coordinator

User Coordinator Oakwood Worldwide currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, goal-oriented, and professional User Coordinator. This high-energy position will provide telephone support to over 1000 computer users on fast paced Information Services Help Desk. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to react quickly to sudden urgent needs from the user community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Respond in a timely manner to tech-support requests that arrive at the Help Desk via E-Mail or voice mail
? Provide technical support for an environment that includes Microsoft Windows Terminal Server, Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Microsoft Office 2003
? Set up new Terminal Server accounts and passwords when requested
? Set up new accounts and passwords for company web sites
? Enter user problems into Help Desk software with accurate descriptions of problems and resolutions
? Accurately determine when problem escalation is necessary
? Coordinate and send out computer equipment to field offices when necessary
? Use Help Desk software to manage the company?s computer inventory
? Work hand in hand with other I.S. support personnel who also provide end user support
? Be flexible in working an 8-hour day between the hours of 7:00am ? 5:30pm.
? Take on any other tasks that can come up from time to time

Requirements

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate well to people in general and be able to handle many diverse personalities.
? A good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Terminal Server, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
? A good knowledge of Microsoft Office components, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel?some PowerPoint.
? Some working knowledge of other miscellaneous PC software: i.e., Zip software, Fax Software, Digital Photography software.
? Basic hands on PC and printer knowledge.
? Experience with using and installing Blackberries.
? Proficiency in using the Internet. Should have knowledge of Internet Service Providers.
? Familiarity with the workings of a local area network and a wide area network.
