VB/VB.net Developer

Our client is located in downtown Denver and they are looking for VB/VB.net developers. This is a 3 month contract-to-hire position. Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They need 3+ years of software development experience. Besides knowing VB and VB.net the candidate needs to know SQL.

Job description:

1. Represent the client Technologies core values, core purpose, and envisioned future.
2. Assist with the development of detailed design documents.
3. Assist in developing programming specifications.
4. Write code to specification. Ensure all code written is thoroughly unit-tested before releasing it to the project library.
5. Ensure code written is compatible with the software system's and organization's architecture. This may include paying attention to re usability factors.
6. Assist with system testing (including integration testing and user testing).
7. Assist in developing user documentation.
8. Prepare technical documentation.
9. Assist with the maintenance of the client Technologies' development environment. This includes specific responsibilities for maintaining a project-specific development environment, as well as general responsibilities for helping maintain the PSI Technologies Developer Network and Developer Area.
10. Adhere to the training requirements for PSI Tech staff as described in the Training Guidelines.
Communicate fully with project managers and project leads, giving complete information about technical roadblocks, anticipated schedule slippages, or any other issues that will affect the project's schedule and/or budget.
11. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
12. Other duties as assigned.
