Vice President of Marketing
Our client, a network security software vendor is looking for a VP of Marketing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the product?s positioning, strategy, tactics and programs required to create interest, demand and recognition for the company. and drive revenue and operating margin growth in the company?s core business.
The Vice President of Marketing and his/her team will also be responsible for Branding, Product Marketing, Online Marketing, analyst relations, PR, Creative Services, Advertising and Events.
As part of the executive management team, this position will be involved in all business issues and marketing strategies relating to the operations of the company as well as the long term planning. This person will provide vision and leadership for future products.
The Vice President of Marketing will also work in collaboration with the VPs of Sales, Business Development and the CEO to drive new product and service initiatives into the sales channels to integrate new services and functionality into existing product offerings.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of creating integrated annual strategic and tactical marketing plan. Establishing, maintaining, and branding corporate and products value proposition. Work with Directors and Managers to build business plans and go to market programs. Conducting and analyzing market research and competitive analysis to determine risk and marketability of potential products and product features. Overseeing MarCom to ensure production of appropriate box, collateral, sales, educational and merchandising materials.
Maintaining complete sales material support for Indirect Channel Sales--VAR accounts. Developing direct marketing programs to resellers.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be well rounded in all aspects of marketing and sales methodology to both vertical and IT customers. Extensive knowledge of technical markets, pricing models, enterprise sales, channels of distribution, technology trends, IT buying patterns, budgeting, public and investor relations, advertising, statistics and analysis, direct marketing, planning skills, competitive strategies, event marketing, channel marketing, merchandising. Experience with a information security company along with a technical degree with advanced marketing degree preferred; at least 10 years industry specific experience in this field required. 30% travel.
