VP of Business Development Compensation in the mid-200 base range, with a full package, details of the package to follow?

Key is the ?intangible? quality of being able to command a presence: from the CEO: An ability to become part of the Silicon Valley club in terms of presence, knowledge, professionalism, student of the industry, capable of seeing true customer value, etc. are things that we are looking for We are interested in a Goldman banker profile. I think we need a mix, but believe that a strong technology background in our market (San, IP, Networking, Software and data access experience) plus excellent listening and communications skills, and good financial acumen would be on my top three list.

 Position is slated to reside in California:  (Santa Clara, CA 95054) Position reports to the COO Position is part of the Executive team that includes the CEO, CFO, Legal and the CPO There is a BMT; Business Management Team that will play a large interactive role with the person in the position and the BMT includes the COO, VP of Mfg., VP Eng, VP Mkt., VP Q/A,  CIO,  VP WW Sales,  VP of Cust. Serv., VP of Corp Mkts and the Chief of Staff. Channel Partners include EMC, HP, and several others Company is closing in on the $billion range in revenues Company has landed some key executives from some high profile companies including Cisco. StorageTek, Qwest, Brocade Ivy League Pedigree may be a distinct advantage Multi-step interview process: 1)CPO & Strategic Staffing Mgr, 2)CIO & COO, 3)CEO & CFO and finally, dinner with two board members Lead the development of strategies for the company regarding potential business alliances, partnerships, and acquisition candidates.Identify new business opportunities utilizing a variety of sources, both internal and external to the company. Assess new business opportunities through analyzing selected criteria, including strategic and operational fit, and financial viability.Build strategic relationships with current customers to assess opportunities for new sources of revenue.Lead a team of professions in targeting, developing, negotiating, and closing strategic relationships with major partners or with acquisition candidates.Provide expertise for the Executive Staff in the areas of leading edge technologies and opportunities.
