Our growing company is currently seeking a VP of Information Technology Operations to be located in our Corporate office in Nashville, TN or in Buffalo, New York.

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsibility for IT infrastructure and operations within North and Central America. This infrastructure includes two corporate data centers, portions of the global data and voice network and 24 operating centers within the region. Will also work closely with the other global regions in order to leverage best practices, infrastructure and solutions. 

 

Will work closely with both internal and external clients to ensure that infrastructure and supported solutions meet and/or exceed operational service levels. Will also work closely with IT peers in the review, implementation and enhancement of business solutions.

 

Typical Qualifications:

Education (if beyond High School or equivalent):  Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Target (in this job or a related function/field):  15 or more years in the Information Technology field with 7 or more years in technical management, and a minimum of 5 years in data center operations management.

 

Skills:  Excellent verbal and written skills.  Excellent planning, problem resolution, and relationship building for technology related activities in each Division.



 

Knowledge/Abilities:  History of successful project management, continual organizational improvement and increasing responsibility. Ability to select, hire, mentor, train and assess team leaders.  Knowledge and ability to ensure operational excellence and provide the highest levels of systems availability.  Ability to exercise independent thinking and solve problems in a stressful environment.



 

Travel Required (typical % of time, scope of travel--U.S. or international, special issues):  Approximately 50% travel to corporate data centers and operating locations.
