Vice President - Technology

Accountabilities:
? Manage Desktop Technicians and Telecommunications staff responsible for planning, analyzing, developing and implementing effective voice and data communications systems for the company, focusing on the Boston locations
? Work collaboratively with virtual team leaders from the IT functions based in the main office including Network Administration, Windows Engineering, Disaster Recovery, Data Security, and Data Center Operations
? Plan and monitor activities to ensure that all functions are performed on a timely basis and meet established quality standards
? Report weekly statistics to Senior Management on ability to meet/beat quality measures and standards for support and project initiatives
? Maintain knowledge of technical trends and developments
? Partner with Senior Management to ensure that strategic planning is aligned with enterprise direction
? Direct development and approve implementation of IT policies and procedures
? Evaluate new network technologies and recommend strategic applications involving hardware, software, and networking components
? Develop and enforce system security policies and procedures
? Make decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, and salary recommendations
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree required plus 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
? Experience with open systems, client server environment, hardware, and telecommunications
? Experience in managing the development and maintenance of network and telecommunication infrastructure
? Proficient in work management, problem assessment/analysis, and information monitoring skills
? Possess solid presentation skills
? Highly flexible and deadline focused
? Ability to effectively manage multiple high-level initiatives
? Demonstrate high degree of effectiveness in coaching, meeting facilitation and delegation skills
