Vice President of Engineering

Global Velocity is a developer of next generation networking applications. Our patent-pending technology provides high-speed, real-time, deep-packet inspection of streaming data at multi-gigabit speeds.

 

Based upon remotely reconfigurable field programmable gate array (FPGA) hardware, our technology is perfectly suited for next generation networking applications at 10Gbps.

 

We currently have several Vice President of Engineering positions open at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. We are seeking executives experienced in any of the following industry verticals: corporate enterprise networking, cable industry or telecommunications industry.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a world class technology firm and build the engineering operations for the company. The VP of Engineering will report directly to the CEO and be a part of the executive management team. The primary responsibility will be to leverage our patent-pending technology into a product set of next generation networking applications.

 

We are looking for a leader who wants to make a difference in the future of advanced networking.

 

This person will build and lead an 8-12 person engineering organization responsible for bringing products to market. The ideal candidate is currently, or has been, a Vice President of Engineering within a computer networking company and has built and introduced networking products into various markets and industries.

 

Must have in-depth knowledge of:

 Computer science Advanced computer networking Internet systems Reconfigurable hardware Data security and content filteringHigh speed, high gate count FPGA designStrong Verilog/VHDL knowledgeStatic timing analysisVendor/partner managementIntellectual property management

 

Additionally, the final candidate should possess the following skill sets and experience:

Qualifications:VisionaryStrong leader with proven ability to create world class engineering organizations and cultures Successful experience building and launching advanced networking productsSuccessful experience of extensible network modules in FPGA technologyExperience with Altera and/or Xilinx hardware and softwareProven track record of formulating and executing a vision and strategyExperience leading distributed teams in multiple locationsStrong experience working with customers on a global basis Engineering background coupled with broad exposure to business strategiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple programs ? including planning, estimating and scheduling ? in support of market driven business Skills in selecting, developing and mentoring leaders within the engineering groupSkilled at identifying, tracking and improving appropriate metrics for the department BS and MS in Engineering or related science, with advanced technical or business degree likely
