Visual BASIC Development Manager

Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this position must obtain the ability to execute strategic plans provided by senior and executive management. The position has the ability to identify areas of weakness in the business and articulate technical solutions to DAC Internal Business Partners and External Clients. This position hires and manages the programming staff and leads all efforts on coding, testing, debugging and documentation. In addition, this position is responsible for mentoring the staff. The position focuses on the pre-launch strategies to serve as the technical liaison with the client and other DAC business managers.

Skills/ Requirements:
Relevant Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or Business Systems Information) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Minimum of 1 year management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively motivate team
Detail-oriented
Ability to manage projects to completion within required timeframes.
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge of MS Office including MS Project and Visio
Experience in working with Executive Management to provide guidance on system development and implementation of strategies and tactics to obtain new client business that supports DAC's strategic direction and business objectives.

Preferred:
Knowledge of MAX
Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems
