Visual Basic Programmers

Coordinates complex software installations ensuring systems function as designed and updates system to stakeholder specifications; ensuring adherence to vendor and corporate specifications. Develops, installs, and maintains complex business applications using structured development methodology according to corporate standards. Interfaces with other areas in information systems and stakeholder departments to support existing production systems and to develop and implement new systems. Applies industry leading technology to maintain and install system software in order to maintain efficient operations. Analyzes, determines, and controls resources used in systems programming to ensure efficient resource usage while maintaining system performance level. Performs complex systems analysis translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Provides on-call support to ensure systems function as designed.

Knowledge, skills, required:
Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, specialized computer systems training or equivalent.
Minimum of five years programming experience in applications and/or computer operations.
Knowledge of and skilled in systems analysis, logic diagramming, test debugging, system software, systems testing, systems implementation, hardware computer operations and documentation standards.
Strong understanding of, and significant working experience in, Visual Basic Version 6 - Required
Strong knowledge/experience in SQL - Required
Experience in Object Oriented Programming - Required; Experience in Model View Controller - Nice to have
Experience with Informix Database Design, Ver. 7.X and 9.X - Preferred
Development experience with C / C++  
Experience with XML  
Knowledge of and skilled in third or fourth generation or higher programming languages and relational databases.
