Voice Communications Technician

Our growing company is currently seeking an Voice Communications Technician for our Starkville, MS location.

 

 

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, responsible for tasks typically relating to ACD administration, telephony adds, moves and changes and voice networking.  Participate in implementations of new clients.  Maintain documentation of voice network and work with vendors and clients to plan and implement voice solutions.



Typical Qualifications:

Education (if beyond High School or equivalent):  Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Target (in this job or a related function/field):  2-4 years of telecommunications experience and continuing education network/telecom courses/seminars.

 

Skills:  ACD Administration, CMS and PBX Administration, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Knowledge/Abilities:  Basic to intermediate knowledge of Avaya ACD and PBX and their adjuncts.  Experience with adds, moves and changes including familiarity with Systemax 110 cabling systems. 

 

Special Certifications (if appropriate--identify if required to perform the job or just preferred):  None required.

 

Travel Required (typical % of time, scope of travel--U.S. or international, special issues):  <10%.

 

Other: Participate in 24x7 on call rotation.
