Wintel Systems Administrator
Northrop Grumman, Data Center Operations team is seeking a WINTEL Server Administrator who will be responsible for building and managing Windows 2000, Windows 2003 servers.
Duties include: Respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner, monitor servers for errors, disk space availability, and system performance. Following formal change control methodologies: apply software patches, install hardware upgrades, and perform server tuning activities. Maintain server logs, writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures, and documenting current processes. You may participate in various IT projects, assist with user support issues as directed.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003, Active Directory, and Veritas Backup preferred.
Experience with other platforms, such as Unix, is of value but not required.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Experience in support of a large enterprise environment highly desired.
Occasional after-hours and weekend support required (patching / emergency support)
Use of pager (or similar) device required as may be issued by NG in support of above.

Education: Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience.
Security clearance desired, but not required. Secret 'collateral' or higher.
