You will be part of the team responsible for the planning, configuration, implementation, and ongoing administration of Windows server environment within the salesforce.com corporate network. Responsibilities include day to day administration and 2nd-level support of Windows 2000/2003 servers, Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003 and MS SQL server 2000/2005. Additional responsibilities include server builds and deployments, handling backup/recovery issues, and troubleshooting hardware/OS/application problems that may arise. Proactive systems administration will be performed to predict and detect systems anomalies in order to ensure maximum uptime and service quality. Key projects include optimizing the existing environment and re-assessing architecture for future growth and scalability.



:: Required Skills/Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 3-5 years MS Windows 2000/2003 systems administration experience supporting 50+ servers, across many offices
* Good working knowledge of and hands-on experience with:
* Administering Active Directory in a multi-site environment
* Managing Windows DNS, DHCP services
* Exchange 2000/2003 administration, including hands-on backup/recovery experience
* MS SQL 2000/2005 server administration
* Managing OS/security patches, OS upgrades and printer queues
* Solid Networking Experience, TCP/IP knowledge
* Candidate should have experience working in structured change management processes
* Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both written and verbal
* Methodical, detail-oriented and thorough
* Able to participate in on-call pager rotation 

 

:: Desired Skills/Experience: 
* MCSE/MCSA certification
* Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup
* Experience with Ironport, Tumbleweed messaging products
* Working knowledge of anti-spam, anti-virus technologies
* Knowledge of RADIUS, RSA technologies
* Experience supporting NetApp Filer systems
* Experience supporting UNIX/Linux systems
