15703 - Technician I/II, Quality 2nd Shift

Job Description: Quality Philosophy/Principles/Policy Support
? Have a clear understanding of the role that quality plays from the individual task level through finished product and end-product use.
? Identify opportunities for improving awareness, visibility, communication, and involvement of operators in quality improvement initiatives.
? Act as a leader and role model in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and initiatives.

General Production Support
? Track, trend, and investigate quality issues and trends within assigned product areas.
? Investigate and trend customer complaints as assigned.
? Initiate Change Orders within assigned product areas.
? Assist operational/manufacturing engineers in identifying/implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives within assigned product areas.
? Maintain computer and other files.

Process Control Management
? Gather and analyze data on new, transitioned, and existing processes to ensure they are capable.
? Develop visual standards, diagrams, samples, and templates to clearly define accept/reject criteria.
? Conduct testing and analysis to ensure that capable measurement devices and methods exist to assess quality related parameters.
? Assist in defining training requirements for the visual, dimensional, and functional quality parameters contained within operational detail processes.
? Implement data collection methodologies exist to provide documented evidence of process control and conformance to requirements.
? Where SPC is implemented, monitor SPC control limits and charts and advise manufacturing teams as to when actions are warranted.

Non-Conforming Material Management
? Assure the requirements of the Product Review Request (PRR) system are understood and followed within assigned product areas.
? Thoroughly review, investigate, and resolve nonconforming material or PRR issues (internal or external to department).
? Follow-up on corrective actions for completion and/or effectiveness.
? Provide necessary information for monthly Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) meetings.

Validations/Qualification Management
? Plan, conduct, and document equipment and process qualifications.

Problem Solving/Decision Making
? Identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues using information gained from process monitoring activities.
? Coach/Mentor Operation personnel in identifying, applying, and resolving issues using a systematic problem-solving methodology.
