JOB DUTIES: Works under minimum supervision, on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following:  installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, exploiting and testing.  Operates and maintains electronic data systems, digital and analog computers, measuring and controlling equipment, interface devices, power supplies, displays and indicators.  Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment.  Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and effects repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition.  Manipulates computer keyboards and views and interprets computer displays.  Troubleshoots to the component level and makes repairs as necessarry.  Maintains accurate system operations, maintenance logs and system documentation.  The position will require the ability to work in remote areas, with shift work (primary shift 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM) and overnight work as required.  Will be required to work indoors/outdoors and at times in a low light, moderate noise environment.  Lifting of up to 50 pounds for transporting equipment and some tower climbing is required.  Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate from an accredited two-year technical school with courses in Math, and Basic Electronic Theory or military equivalent with emphasis of digital disciplines.  Background in general electronics and, based on level of job, from 0 to 7 years of hands-on digital experience.  Good understanding of electronic theory and test equipment used to maintain and electronic equipment.  Able to troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs.  Good understanding of transistors, logic gates and digital circuits. An understanding of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word) is required.  Must posses a valid Nevada drivers license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret/SSBI security clearance and access. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ground maintenance technician with six plus years experience.  Associates Degree in Applied Science, Math, or Electronics.  Current TS/SSBI Security Clearance.
