JOB DUTIES: Provides support to the engineering and design staff through performing a variety of engineering tasks during the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.
1. Installs, monitors, and services equipment and systems at the company and the client sites. 
2. Performs/assists with test and evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks; performs validations/verifications of various electronic systems. 
3. Reviews Engineering Change Proposals for equipment impacts.
4. Assists in creating Engineering Change Instructions.
5. Develops technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical drawing updates, operating procedures, and maintainability improvements. 
6. Supports systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise. 
7. Establishes and maintains filing systems, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory. 
8. Directs on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
9. Provides technical data and evaluation for components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout, and contract requirements.
10. Performs related work as required; uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of moderate complexity that vary in nature and sequence.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards.  There is occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.  The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.  Travel to remote work locations may be required.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The Company prefers the incumbent to have vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent hands on experience.  The incumbent will possess good communication and analytical skills and working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. This position may require travel.


RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provides data entry support to the Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Systems Effectiveness Data System (SEDS) database.  Ensure timely and accurate processing of the information collected and the documentation for failures and maintenance data.  Assists in the development of R&M data listing.  Assist the R&M Techs with Joint Reliability and Maintainability Evaluation Team (JRMET) meetings, review data and contribute to the resolution of issues by coordinating with associated personnel. Possess excellent computer knowledge and interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with technicians, engineers, and management personnel. Develop and maintain metric evaluation and analysis information. Excellent computer skills and experience with MS application suite: Word, Excel, Access.  Ability to collect, analyze, and report information.  Strong interpersonal skills, ability to plan and handle complex tasks. Good written and oral communication skills, self-initiative and self-motivation.  Ability to work independently with a wide variety of engineering disciplines while having the flexibility to change priorities with changing mission requirements. Periodic short notice extended work schedules and some travel required.
