Account Service Representative-DC/MD

BASIC FUNCTION:


Under supervision, installs, services, and repairs (in the field) equipment on which training has been provided while acquiring increased knowledge of the equipment.  Obtains assistance of more qualified personnel to review unfamiliar problems.


 


ORGANIZATION LOCATION:


This position is generally found in the U.S. Field Service Department.


 


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:


·  Requires two years of technical college or equivalent.


·  Requires the ability to self-manage.


·  Requires demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.


·  Requires well-developed concept of human and economic values.


·  Good analytical and problem solving skills relating to solving equipment problems.


·  Demonstrated strong people interactive skills.


·  Relates well to a wide variety of people.


·  Focuses on entire customer environment and needs to resolve problems.


·  Ability to provide equipment overview training to technical staff at customer locations as necessary


·  Ability to travel to installation sites for extended periods of time, willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.


·  Ability to use a computer for documentation and communication.


·  Requires the ability to carry out the physical requirements of the job including physical transport, lifting, pulling, twisting and operation of equipment.


·  Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move in excess of 50 pounds using lifting aids, technologies, or appropriate assistance.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


·  Provides installation and maintenance support as necessary both within and outside of the region


·  Provides quality level of service according to established standards.


·  Completes paperwork, documentation and administrative tasks per policy and procedures.


·  Responsible and accountable for all assigned company assets.


·  Maintains an action plan of personal development through goals and objectives to improve job skills in therapy and technical fields.


·  Works effectively with Field Service Regional Manager, Field Service Representatives, Response Center Personnel, sales representatives, clinical specialists, customers, in-house quality and manufacturing personnel.


·  Performs any other additional duties or projects as assigned.
