 Primary Role: Responsible for the installation of alarm equipment and associated devices, including but not limited to, panels, sirens, keypads, motion sensors, glass break sensors, door/window contacts, cameras, etc.  The installer is responsible for installing the products in the most efficient and effective manner. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth by MicroAge, while assuring a professional and safe working environment.

 

Responsibilities:

1.  Pulling cable for data and alarm devices

2.  Terminating, soldering, testing and labeling cable

3.  Responsible for the wiring and installation of various types of electronic equipment

4.  Responsible for mounting alarm equipment and other devices

5.  Meet all installation deadlines

6.  Responsible for accurate tracking of time sheets, expense reports, service/installation tickets and inventory items

7.  Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program

8.  Operation of power tools

9.  Participate and complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, distributors, and company as required.

10.  Other duties as required or assigned by company management

 Accountability:The Installer will be accountable to the Security Manager.  Secondary accountability will be to the other management team members, employees and customers of the company. Qualifications:

 

Installer shall possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience is required installing residential and commercial alarm systems.  Clean driving and criminal history record.Travel:

Minimal out of town travel required.

10.  Valid and current driver?s license.

 

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

 

1.  Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.

2.  Frequent lifting of heavy objects is required.

3.  Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.

4.  Must be able to climb ladders, work on lifts and scaffolding, and occasionally climb towers.

5.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

6.  Frequent use of test equipment and power tools.

7.  Although most work is performed inside, some in attics, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
