Field Service Engineer – CNC Laser Machines/Punch presses/Press Brakes

 

Position Description:

 

1.  OEM CNC Machine Tool manufacturer has openings for Field Service Engineers to travel to customer sites to service Laser Cutting Machines/Punch Presses/Press Brakes.  Work on electrical systems, electronics  and mechanical.  Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installs.

2.  If you are tired and bored with going to the same place and doing the same thing every day, then this position offers tremendous variety.  You travel to new places and see different processes and applications every day.

4.  Approximately 80 ? 100% out of town travel is required.  You spend approximately one weekend per month traveling.  You travel by airplane (70% of time) and by rental car (30% of time) to customer sites and stay in hotel rooms 5 days a week every week.

5.  This is a remote position. You must live within commuting distance of a major airport. Relocation is not required.

 

Requirements:

 

1.  Experience working on high wattage lasers, punch presses, press brakes, CNC controlled equipment, PLC controlled equipment, etc.

2.  Must be willing to travel 100% 5 days a week.

3.  Must be willing to travel on weekends (approximately one weekend/month).

4.  Strong electronic troubleshooting skills.

5.  Strong mechanical aptitude.

6.  Strong electrical aptitude.

7.  Ability to read electrical schematics.

8.  Ability to read mechanical drawings.

9.  Prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, or Field Service Engineer.
