Chemical Plant Technician

Yoh Company, the first and one of the largest technical staffing firms in the United States,

 has  a  six month+ contract position  available for a Chemical Plant Technician.  The  position is located in Hometown Pa.  The company is a World leader in Industrial Gases.  You must be willing to work rotating shiftwork.  The rate is open.  Client will interview qualified candidates ASAP.

Specific Skills: 

- High School diploma or equivalency.

- Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience with chemical plant unit operations, including reactors, centrifuges, refrigeration and heating systems, vacuum systems and rotary vacuum driers.

- Experience with handling gas cylinders and hazardous chemicals, such as F2 and HF, is preferred.

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pilot plant equipment.

- Capable of fabricating pilot plants.

 - Familiarity with analytical instruments.

 

Job Description and Duties:

The candidate will be able to perform all duties consistent with manufacturing various compounds in a pilot plant setting.  Must also be familiar with packaging solids, liquids and gases and be capable of operating a fork lift.

Responsibilities include recording and reporting all deviations from normal operating conditions. The candidate will also be responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance as required. Other responsibilities include maintaining an up-to-date R&D notebook, maintaining a safe work environment, and following all  corporate standards for laboratory and pilot plant EH&S.

The candidate must also be willing to work swing shift or continuous shift as required by product demand, including occasional weekends.
