Customer Service Representative

Established service company seeks a team-player at its South Bay Headquarters.  Working in a call-center in the South Bay area, the successful candidate will usually possess one to three years experience working in a call-center environment.  The Company, however, will consider training the right candidate.

 

Essential Duties:  Answers telephone in a timely and pleasant manner.  Locates customer service records, transfers work order to customer's records and gives service order to dispatcher.  Types service records as needed.  Processes service orders from technicians and other field personnel.  Call customers to help field personnel locate equipment.  Creates reports for approximately 100 field personnel.

 

Job Requirements:

 

q High School Diploma or GED.  Some college is desirable.

 



q Effective English communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills desirable).

 

q Effective customer service skills.

 

q Ability to process a high volume of customer service calls.

 

q Ability to enter data into a computer while talking with customers on the telephone.

 

q Minimum keyboarding/typing skills of 35 words per minute.

 

q Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).

 

q Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages and proportions.

 

qMust be willing to work some Saturdays.
