CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR ? EAST COST

 

SUMMARY:

Oversees and coordinates comprehensive technical support to Field Service Engineers and customers to maintain high level of customer satisfaction.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

?  Monitor and schedule customer support activities for new system installations, refurbished and retrofit systems work, preventative maintenance and/or emergency repair field service schedules. Assign and coordinate work projects, establish priorities to meet customer needs. Estimate cost and time requirements for North America

?  Maintain complete and detailed knowledge of all past and present products and a comprehensive knowledge of product applications. 

?  Develop and train assigned team of Field Service Engineers.

?  Develop and maintain an accurate Customer Database.

?  Develop and maintain an accurate list of tools at customer?s site.

?  Perform all normal supervisory functions to include hiring, training, appraisal, counseling and discipline.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITIES:

 

?  Plan and Schedule a minimum of 1 week every month to visit customers and evaluate your team of Customer Support Engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

?  Minimum 5 to 8 years of previous experience in related precision electro-mechanical systems manufacturing, field service, and/or business sector management experience is required. 

?  A Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred. 

?  Specific experience and knowledge of Unaxis Systems equipment, equipment design and development and technical services organization is preferred. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

?  Ability to compile reports and composes routine correspondence. 

?  Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and respond to common inquires, complaints, and requests.

?  Excellent conflict resolution skills are essential to effectively deal with angry customers and negative situations. 

?  Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

?  Ability to use and operate various types of software, SAP, (Microsoft, Word, Excel).

?  Ability to multi task.

?  Strong communication skills, verbally and written.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

The normal work environment is typical of a business office, manufacturing operation, and laboratory and clean room facilities.

 

The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, touch, see, and hear. 

 

The incumbent must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

 

While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.  The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
