Database Administrator

The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintenance and operations of database and database servers used for development and testing. The successful candidate will work closely with the software development and test organizations in Information Integration Solutions. Responsibilities will include installation, configuration, and tuning of various databases (DB2, Oracle, and others) as required for test purposes. Responsibilities
may also include some system administration duties, including ClearCase, ClearQuest, and other development tool administration. Major Field of Study: Computer Science or related field. Database administration, management (primarily DB2, Oracle); Networking, Unix/Windows system administration proficiency; Knowledge of database operations, tuning, connectivity; Aptitude for quickly acquiring technical expertise in related areas; Prior experience in development (as opposed to production) environment Candidate should have extensive experience with installation, configuration, and tuning of the major database platforms including DB2, Oracle, Sybase, SQL. System administration ability, including Unix system admin, is a strong plus. Prior experience with development tool administration, including ClearCase and ClearQuest is a plus.
